It's a quiet morning at my office today. Only two of us are here, trying to catch up on things we missed over the holiday. I noticed everyone posting on Facebook about the new year, and I'm trying to find something to say that seems fitting, but nothing really fits.
In a way 2012 was a year like any other, with tragedies, victories, joys and sorrows. Yet we all also know that 2012 was in many ways, unlike every other year we've ever experienced or ever will again. I always feel that the last day of the year is bittersweet. The sun sets on a year of memories and experiences that we will never have again, and rises to a new year fresh with the promise of new memories and new hopes.
For you and your family, I wish you a 2013 with good health, good friends and good humor. I pray that your challenges will bring you more strength than sorrow, and that your victories inspire those around you.
